Can you see Aimée Leduc’s place on Ile Saint-Louis?
What’s Paris without a visit to the patisserie?
I’m just back from the annual American Library conference in Philly - amazing and filled with more than eight thousand librarians! So thrilled to share galleys of HUGUETTE and chat with dear long time friend, Tammy Hennig
And have dinner with fellow Soho writer, Sujata Massey, who many of you know for her Perveen Mistry books set in colonial India - can’t wait for her next which comes out in Spring 2026!
Yes, #ihavethisthingwithdoors
And while a little black dress LBD is essential, I could go with this Dior, too. Would you?
In December 2025 my next novel, HUGUETTE, launches. After writing twenty-one books in the Aimée Leduc series and two WWII thrillers, I’d love to celebrate this new novel - a standalone - with libraries. HUGUETTE, set in Paris and Lyon, depicts postwar France as well as introduces Claude Leduc - the man who decades later inspired his granddaughter, Aimée to become an investigator.
Because libraries have been a part of my life since I was five and my father took me to get my first library card and an ice cream, I want to bring some library love to the celebrations.
If you are a librarian - or your sister, aunt, best friend, college roommate, neighbor, or travel mate is - and would be interested in an event with me during December 2025 and 2026 please fill out the form below. We are aiming for 24 events, two each month, in all different venues across the US: large libraries and small, virtual and in-person. Please complete the survey/application by the end of September, thanks, and—hope to see you in 2025/6! Library Visit
And here’s our April in Paris group walking in Aimée Leduc’s footsteps in Montmartre by Cyrano de Bergerac, Edmond Rostand’s famous character. If you’d like to join us next year here’s a taste April in Paris 2026 Please contact my pal, the amazing Meg Whalen, organizer extraordinaire, at whalenmj55@gmail.com. (Please copy and paste her email). We had a long waiting list this year and did two groups! Let Meg know if you would love to explore Aimée’s Paris with us!
Thank you for reading mes amies. Feel free to share my newsletter which will always be free. Wishing you lots of delicious reading this summer!
